1964 Trained in fesco painting at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan; awarded Silver Medal by Academy of Fine Arts, Calcutta; exhibited at the Tamil Nadu State Lalit Kala Academy(also in 1966, `67, `77, `79 and `92).
1966 Award of the Tamil Nadu State Academy, Madras; Silver Medal at the South Indian Society of Painters, Chennai; among the first batch of artists to move into Cholamandal.
1967 Diploma in painting, government School of Arts and Crafts, Chennai.

1996 Received Silver Plate on being honoured as a veteran artist of India by All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society; also participated in the show organized for the veteran artists.
