1968 Diploma in Painting and in the advance course with distinctions from the Government School of Arts and Crafts, Chennai.

1972 Experiments with and starts sculpting in clay, sheet metal, bronze, brick, wood and granite.

1976 Taj Coromandel Hotel, Chennai on the occasion of the 25th International Pugwash Conference; National exhibition, Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi.

1992 Awarded the National Award by the Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi.

1998 Featured in the book ‘The Algebra of Figuration’ by Oxford University Press.

2001 Senior Fellowship, awarded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
